In January-June 2023, the passenger flow of Georgian airports equaled 100% of the pre-pandemic level. In particular, according to the data of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, in the first six months of 2023, the international airports of Georgia served 2,470,005 passengers, which is 45% higher than the data of the same period of 2022 and equal to the figures of 2019 same period.

According to 6 months data, Tbilisi International Airport served 1,566,251 passengers, which is a 35% increase compared to 2022, and compared to 2019, it returned to the same period by 84%.

236,444 passengers were transported through Batumi International Airport. The increase compared to January-June 2022 is 9%, and the recovery compared to 2019 is 96%. As for Kutaisi International Airport, it transported 667,310 passengers, which is a 103% increase compared to 2022, and an 8% increase compared to 2019.

There is also a positive dynamic of passenger flow growth in the local destination airports. Mestia served a total of 5,127 passengers in the first and second quarters of 2023, which is 60% more than the same period in 2022 and 47% more than the pre-pandemic period. As for Ambrolauri Airport, it received 841 passengers, which is 5% less than the data of 6 months of 2022, but 40% more than the data of 2019.

During the first half year, 8,556 flights were carried out in Georgian airports, which is a 29% increase in the number of raids compared to the same period, and the number of flights increased by 90% compared to the data of 2019.
