According to the Civil Aviation Agency, in the first quarter of 2024 Georgian airports served 1,415,188 passengers, which is 35% more than in the same period of 2023.
Tbilisi International Airport served 913,882 passengers according to January-March 2024 data. The increase compared to the same period of 2023 is 28%. As for the flights, airport fulfilled 4,440 international flights.
398,015 passengers were transported through Kutaisi International Airport and fulfilled 1,220 international flights. The growth of the passengers flow is 57% compared to the first quarter of 2023. As for Batumi International Airport, it served 103,291 passengers, which is a 34% increase compared to same period of 2023. Airport fulfilled 503 international flights in total.
The positive dynamics is also recorded in the airports of local destination. According to the data of the first three months of 2024, Mestia served 2,420 passengers and Ambrolauri Airport 190.
In the first quarter of 2024, a total of 6,163 flights were carried out at Georgian airports, both regular and charter flights. Compared to the same period of 2023, the number of flights increased by 32%.
